This clip - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7WdRc2duag - of the Capris doing Morse Code Of Love comes from a 1999 concert put together by PBS and their local Pittsburgh outlet. The concert was titled Doo Wop 50 and included dozens of the original '50's groups that helped form the doo wop sound. Many were brought together on stage to perform for the first time in decades. The live stage show was MC'd by a very young and dapper looking Jerry Butler. The edited (almost 3 hours long!) TV version for broadcast during PBS' annual fund raising pledge drive was hosted by Youngstown (Ohio) DJ Thomas John. The entire full length video is available for sale as are shows produced in following years, Doo Wop 51, 52 Etc. This is a MUST see, hear and own collection for any Doo Wop and old time rock n roller. You won't ever see this kind of talent together for one show again. Already, many of the artists whom performed so flawlessly the songs we all grew up on, sounding as fresh and young in voice as ever, have past on. They will be miss, but they left us a wonderful legacy in their music and this timeless video. BJN Read more on Last.fm.
