Teddy Edelmann Rasmussen (born September 9, 1941 in Copenhagen) is a Danish singer who is best known for the song "Sky Dog", which was his big breakthrough in 1984. He began his musical career in 1950 under the name Rock Teddy and later in the band The Ready Rock Boys. In 1962 he won a competition in Radio Mercur and was named North Cliff Richard. The following year he became a member of The Caravans, which he broke with in 1968. His first big hit he got in the Quartet Teddy, Chano, Jan and John, which was formed in 1970 and little sentimental with "No more money, fired from my job" in 1971 and in 1972 with "I want to stay in Copenhagen".
