Re-recorded version features on the USA version of debut album Foxbase Alpha. Notes The band have recorded this song three times in total, with three different vocalists... Their first attempt was at their very first recording session on Tuesday 30th January 1990, in the same session that they recorded debut single Only Love Can Break Your Heart. The vocals were performed by Moira Lambert and was eventually released in October 2009 on the 2CD version of Foxbase Beta. Bob spoke of this first attempt in 2009 - "We spent most of the time doing 'Kiss and Make Up' - a guitary version, like a Sarah record. We thought it was a great song which could be done in a slightly different way. I prefer The Field Mice version now. I don't think either of them ever told me what they thought of our version." Their second and most well-known version, recorded later in 1990, was released as their second single and has vocals by Donna Savage of cult indie band Dead Famous People. The third version features permanent Saint Etienne vocalist, Sarah Cracknell and was only ever released on the US version of Foxbase Alpha.
