Info about song
It is likely that Ray Charles liked this lovely girl trio song around 1953 and some point recorded a cover. the alternative would be that he wrote it, a girl-trio released it, and he decided years later to record it. Does anyone know something about that early, girl-trio hit. SEE "VIEW EARLIER VERSIONS" FOR RAY'S FORMULATION. The point is the minor differences in the lyrics, which the writer recalls and has typed below, but which this site will have deleted. Thanks to Ray for preserving the song, I was unable to remember the last or next to last verses with "seal" and "right"; and thanks last.fm: [bass: bop ah, trio: bah-de-op --repeat x 3] [girl trio] The fire that burns deep down in me The joy and the pain that aches constantly That's love, [alto solo:] it's a real true thing It's hard to believe it hurts to be in love [bridge] If you see a tear come to my eye [alto solo:]You have to be in love To know the reason why The joy and the pain That all of us feel Is a part of the thing That makes love so real The love that you know It's wrapped in a seal The joy from your heart It seems so unreal That's love It's a real true thing It's hard to believe it hurts to be in love Although your arms Are holding me tight The sadness you feel It just don't seem right That's love It's a real true thing It's hard to believe it hurts to be in love Read more on Last.fm.
