Black Sheep Of The Family is a cover of a song recorded by Quatermass in 1970. Ritchie Blackmore originally planned to include the song for the Stormbringer album by Deep Purple, but the rest of the band refused to record the song. Unhappy with the musical direction of Deep Purple, Ritchie left the band shortly after Stormbringer was recorded. Black Sheep Of The Family was eventually included on Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow album in 1975. Read more on Last.fm.
