Written by guitarist Brian May, who quipped in 1984 about the song, "Done very late one night probably to the morning, probably very drunk.". John Deacon cited it as his "favorite song" of the album, while May would later elaborate on the song-writing process in a 2000 interview. ""It was put together in an unusual way. We just jammed for a while and put down the basic riff."" In 1993, Roger Taylor spoke of the song as being difficult to play. "As a drummer, you need a sense of time, a sense of rhythm, a sort of inner clock and that you really need naturally. You have to have aggression and lastly I would say you definitely need stamina. But you do learn tricks, apart from the fact that you develop more stamina, your muscles get more used to what's demanded of them.
