"Cowboy Style" is a song by Australian recording artist and songwriter Kylie Minogue, taken from her sixth studio album Impossible Princess (1997). The song was written by Minogue, Steve Anderson and Dave Seaman, and production was handled by Brothers in Rhythm. The song was only released in Australia and New Zealand in August 1998 by Mushroom Records, as her record deal with Deconstruction Records had expired, where Minogue did not renew it. Musically, the song is a country and electronica styled song, which lyrically, talks about her then-boyfriend Stéphane Sednaoui at time she wrote the song. The song was the final single from the album, and managed to peak at number thirty-nine on the Australian Singles Chart. "Cowboy Style" is regarded as being one of Minogue's rarest singles (the other one being "GBI: German Bold Italic" featuring Japanese DJ Towa Tei). Minogue had performed the song on her tours Intimate and Live Tour, KylieFever2002 as a mash-up and was last performed on her Showgirl: The Homecoming Tour. Read more on Last.fm.
