The single was released commercially on June 18, 2007 on the iTunes digital music store. The song has strong Latin rhythms and is a danzon, a popular dance form accompanied by Cuban music. A remix version of the song in a hip-hop style is available on the internet, which features rapper Pitbull. a remix by Wisin & Yandel is also available. A salsa version of the song was released as a bonus track on the Limited Edition of the album on Mexico and as a promotional single. The song debuted at the "Hot Latin Regional Mexican Airplay" chart at number thirty-four in its first week and peaked at number twenty-one. At the end of 2007, No Llores was listed on the Billboard Year-End Charts under "Hot Tropical Songs Of The Year" at #15.
