Info about song
Hot Stuff is a well known hit single released by American disco singer Donna Summer in 1979 as the first single release from her Bad Girls album. Up to that point, Summer had mainly been associated with disco songs but this song also showed significant rock influences including the guitar, which had never been used in a Donna Summer single before. In fact the very intricate solo was played by Ex Dobbie Brother and Steely Dan guitarist Jeff "Skunk" Baxter. and It was certified double-platinum by the RIAA (for sales of over two million copies in the United States) and remained at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three non-consecutive weeks. "Hot Stuff" would also win Summer the Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, making her the first African-American artist to achieve that feat. It is ranked in the Rolling Stone magazine's list of "the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time" and "Billboard's Greatest Songs of all time". Read more on Last.fm.
