Zach Williams And the Reformation (ZWR), a band based in Jonesboro, Arkansas, rose from the ashes of another local band, Further Down, in 2008. Effectively combining elements of rock and roll, R&B, soul and blues, they quickly established themselves as one of the most exciting new bands to emerge into the southern rock scene. The driving force of ZWR, the group's soulful vocalist and primary songwriter, Zach Williams, has been described as a hybrid of Joe Cocker, Chris Robinson and Gregg Allman. The band has at various times been compared to the likes of The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet or The Black Crowes. In fact, it’s been said that ZWR look and sound like they stepped off a bus from 1975, and truer words have never been spoken. ZWR released their debut, Electric Revival, on April 7, 2009. A follow-up, entitled A Southern Offering, has been released on June 3, 2011.
