The album New Love, was originally released in Canada in 2013 on Indica Records. A revised USA version of New Love is set for digital release February 17, 2015. It will include new album art and the previously unreleased cover of 'Sex Beat' by The Gun Club. This is his third release, a follow up to Giselle and Bushido.
Cafeine cites punk influences like X, The Gun Club and The Germs. With that, he refuses to stick to genre conventions, evolving the form with ragged riffs and sharp keyboard jabs. The message is less nihilistic, and more optimistic. The spirit of New Love is a resounding affirmation that it’s possible to transcend profound loss of love, or whatever shitty situation life has dumped on you, and live for today.
