Wafande was born January 21st, 1983 at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is of Danish, French, Algerian, Tanzanian, Congolese, Malawian and Omanese ancestry. He has been brought up in Christiania, Copenhagen, Denmark. As an 8-year-old he moved to France with his family, where he played for the France youth national basketball team. He came back to Denmark in 2001, when he was 18 years old to pursue his musical career. His music is a mix of reggae, hip hop and pop sung in Danish, French and English.
