Von Thronstahl is a German right-wing fascist band founded in 1995 by Catholic brothers Bernhard and Josef Wilhelm Maria Klumb, producing martial industrial, neofolk and neoclassical music. Klumb and Bernhard openly profess radical right-wing ideologies in their personal views and music. Their music incorporates bombastic Wagnerian arrangements, neofolk-style acoustic guitar riffs, martial rhythms and sometimes also industrial rock elements.
In 2011 Josef Klumb announced on the Von Thronstahl website that since Autumn 2010 the band is no more, but said also that there is still the possibility of a comeback someday.
The group openly distributes racist and fascist political views through their music, appearances and essays, which they combine with fascism-related imagery such as runes and the sigil of the black sun on album covers and during live performances. In his essay "Wahlbenachrichtigung", Klumb expressed his wish to establish a nationalistic dictatorship in Germany. In the album „Germanium Metallicum“ songs like „Staatsfeind/ Heimatfreund“ ("Enemy of the state/friend of the homeland"), „National Anarchy in the EU“ or „Respect the Hierarchy“, Klumb and Bernhard express their right-wing ideologies. Source In an interview with "THE HERETIC", Klumb answered a question regarding his stance to fascism: "I think the main problem of the National Socialists today is their centering their entire worldview around a dead idol, namely Hitler. This isn't to say there aren't valid ideas there, but I don't think a Hitler cult is going to achieve anything or have any serious resonance outside of a small band of fetishists. (...) However, I will (say) that I have no problem whatsoever with accepting the political (implications) of these ideas, even though I'm not involved in politics per se. One must acknowledge that such ideas have consequences (often unpleasant ones) beyond mere abstract rhetoric and metaphor. As they say, "It comes with the territory."" Source
