Since forming in late 2008, Valentiine have rapidly ascended from opening act to headliners in their home city of Melbourne, Australia, earning themselves a reputation for delivering the most gut wrenchingly ‘rock’ shows in town. Their live performances whip crowds into a frenzy and often result in audience members swarming the stage.
In 2008 Valentiine played their first headline shows in Sydney and were also hand picked by Adalita Srsen as main support for the last two Magic Dirt tours (‘No Sleep ‘Til Christmas’ 2008 and ‘Dean Turner Tribute Tour’ 2009).
In January 2009 Valentiine were invited to take up a month long residency at Melbourne’s undisputed home of rock The Tote, appearing five Saturdays in a row to a packed venue and selling out of their band merchandise.
In August 2009 Valentiine released a split 7” vinyl, playing packed out launch shows in both Melbourne and Sydney. In November 2009 Valentiine played main support for USA band Partyline, where they raised their trademark fanatical crowd response.
in September 2012 set off on a European tour covering 22 shows throughout UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, including sets at OxJam Festival in Leicester and Grungapolooza festival in Leipzig, Germany.
Their European jaunt caught the eye of both Integrity Records (Million Dead, Reuben, Miniature Dinosaurs) and a UK manager.
Their UK debut single "Love Like" is out on 8th April 2013, followed by a full release of their eponymous debut album and a full headline UK tour in June.
Valentiine’s sound recalls the craftsmanship of The Breeders, the slow burn of 7 Year Bitch, combined with the intensity of Nirvana, L7 and early Veruca Salt.
