The title track is notable for a kazoo solo (played by Kerslake) and the use of "Happy Birthday To You" melody. The album's title was also the inspiration for the name of the band's birthday shows/conventions - The Magician's Birthday Parties.
It is the second of five UH albums with cover artwork designed by Roger Dean.
It was also the second album to be recorded by the most famous Uriah Heep line-up that included:
David Byron
Ken Hensley
Mick Box
Gary Thain
Lee Kerslake. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
