Thé Lau (born Matheus Josephus Lau, Bergen (N-H), 17 July 1952 – Amsterdam, 23 June 2015), was a Dutch musician and writer. He was the founder and lead singer of the rock band from Amsterdam The Scene. Thé Lau released four solo-albums. August 2013 Thé Lau was diagnosed with throat cancer. He played a number of 'farewell concerts' with The Scene and released a final solo album, Platina Blues (2014). In March 2015 he received an Edison award for his complete work.
