(1) The Great Divide is a 5 piece hardcore band from Paris, France. The bands music is the right mix between faith in modern hardcore music, musical talent and an open mind. The music that results from this mix is full of energy, melody, emotion and catchy vibes. In a time when the greatest combos have split up, The Great Divide provides a perfect example of modern hardcore - the way it's supposed to be.

(2) The Great Divide (US) was a grass roots working band that attempted to meet the country music industry head on with its work ethic, tenacity, genuine likeability, and hard-hitting style. Over the past fifteen years The Great Divide steadily progressed the hill of the unforgiving music industry, proving not only their musical talents, but also their business savvy before disbanding in 2007.
In 1993 the group formed their own record label, publishing company and operating company, and began recording. The band's first two albums, Goin' For Broke and Break In The Storm, were independent releases. Atlantic Records signed the group and re-released Break In The Storm as well as the band's third album, Revolutions. After TGD asked to be released from Atlantic they recorded Afterglow, which was picked up by Broken Bow Records. Once again the band asked to be released from a recording contract due to lack of effort and enthusiasm from the label office. Remain, the band's fifth album, was released independently at the end of 2002.
The Great Divide's original front man, central songwriter, and left the band in early 2003. By late summer the band was back on the road with new lead singer and lead guitarist, Micah Aills.
The Great Divide was a tribute to the American dream as exhibited by the all four band members' undying belief in their music and their refusal to meet obstacles with defeat.
As of 2007 the band decided to disband and is no longer together. They were never the same band after the departure of Mike McClure. His vision and talent is manifesting itself in a semi successful solo career weighted down by his personal demons while the original members TGD have chosen various other careers.
(3) The Great Divide (UK) is principally Gerald Clark, with various musicians, usually including Eric Young & Tim Robertson + various singers and guests (including Maria Payne, Bea Weiss Leclere, Daniel Fletcher and Robert Wyatt) Read more on Last.fm.
