The trio was subsequently augmented on stage by Raymond Docherty (bass) and Keith Burns (drums). Early support slots with Lloyd Cole helped them to find a wider audience. By the time their debut album ‘Swimmer’ was finally completed and released on Virgin Records in 1986 the line-up had undergone notable changes, with Lindsay and Docherty joined by new guitarist Brian McFie and keyboardist/saxophonist Ian Ritchie.
