On May 23rd, just about a year after its initial release it was announced that the album had sold gold. It went on to sell platinum some time after.
Reception
The album was received with average to poor ratings.
Aftonbladet and Expressen, two of Swedens most iconic papers both rewarded the album a two out of five rating
Re-Release
On February 28th of 2009 Bury the Lies was re-released in a new version under the name "Bury the Lies - Platinum Edition". The album had been completely remastered and included three songs from the previous album ...Make YOU Breathe, Losing, Jaded and Reason To Cry. The last song mentioned was released in a brand new, never heard before version.
Promotion
Close to the albums release the band played a set of songs on the morning show "Nyhetsmorgon" on Tv 4.
After having received very little promotion starting off it started to become promoted more heavily after the success of the single Curly Sue. Television commercials for the album were heavily rotated during prime time shows.
