Szhirley spent the following years touring as a backing vocalist for acts such as Den Gale Pose, Mukupa, Søren Sko and Outlandish, as well as recording two songs for Susanne Bier's film Den eneste ene, which became one of the highest-grossing Danish films ever made.
In 2005, Szhirley made her acting debut in the stage adaptation of the film Den eneste ene. A year later, she played the role of Anita in Østre Gasværk Theatre's production of West Side Story.
Szhirley's second album Hjerter Dame was released in 2008, preceded by the singles "Glor på vinduer" (a cover of Anne Linnet & Marquis de Sade's same-titled song) and "Gammel Kongevej", which were both certified Platinum. Later that year, she competed in the fifth Danish season of Strictly Come Dancing, partnered by professional dancer Silas Holst. The couple finishd 6th.
In 2012, she landed the role of Maria in DR's televised Christmas calendar Julestjerner. The 24 episodes of the series aired daily from 1-24 December.
