These early childhood experiences would have a deep impact on the style od Stratos’ music, and were a great influence to him.At the age of 20 moved to Thessaloniki where he started his career.Later he moved to capital Athens and recorded his first song. At this point he appeared with well establised Kaity Grey.Until the late 60s he had allready sang songs from great greek song writers(Babis Bakalis, Kostas Virvos) and re-recorded songs of older artists(Vassilis Tsitsanis,Yiannis Papaioannou, Giorgos Mitsakis and Manolis Chiotis).However success came when he turned several Akis Panos songs into hits.After that Composer Mimis Plessas gave him his most known mega hit Fire is raining down my path which lyrics wrote LefterisPapadopoulos. He also toured USA with great success but at his pinnacle of fame he was sentenced to two years imprisonment facing charges of illegal carrying weapon and drug-related. He din’t quit singing until he died suddenly on May 11, 1990 at age 54 a few hours after he entertained croud at “STRATOS” for last time.
