Arguably the best compilation of the greatest hits of any incarnation of the Jefferson Airplane / Jefferson Starship / Starship collection. Contains upbeat, positive tracks from the once in the three band history time when Grace Slick and Mickey Thomas sang together. Grace was worrying about getting too old for rock and roll at 50, and Mickey had just recently been hired. Together, the two of them and Craig Chaquico on guitar hit notes and dual leads that scored a movie, built a city, and marked transition from the days of Woodstock to the days of the highest chart position in history for Starship. Paul Kantner, at this point no longer a member of the ensemble, has thrown sarcastic criticism at the hit making songs of Starship, pronouncing it "too commercial." Their legal battles continue on and off to this day, as attorneys cross swords over the billing and use of the various names of the group.
