Solveig Sandnes (1973 - 2018) was a Danish pop singer. After her success with another Danish band called Lovebites, Solveig's debut solo CD entitled Analog, which was released in 1999, featured her polished silky voice and music akin to bands like The Cardigans. Her single "Marie" did very well on the Japanese and Southeast Asian pop charts during the summer of 1999. Marie was written about Solveig's sister and has a catchy radio melody.
