Even at that time, her deep, robust voice and virtuoso electric guitar playing surprised many listeners, who found it difficult to believe that they were listening to a performer in her teens, rather than her twenties or thirties.
After a prolonged absence from recording, Shannon self-released a five-song EP entitled Take It Like A Man in July of 2006.
A full-length album "Fast Lane Addiction" was released late in 2007, showing her guitar playing, songwriting and vocals have matured yet still retain their power and edge.
Like her contemporary Jonny Lang (b. 1981), Curfman is from North Dakota.
