1) Selah is a Christian band that has been featured on The 700 Club, The Hour of Power, and TBN. The original 3-person line up consisted of Nicol Sponberg, Allan Hall, and Todd Smith. Their success came quick when they released their first album, Be Still My Soul, in 1999, and would win a Dove Award for that album soon afterwards. They quickly earned a reputation for being able to reveal the heart of any song they record [1] with their music, doing well-known covers of already-famous songs such as "You Raise Me Up" by Josh Groban and "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts.
In 2004, Nicol Sponberg departed the group, and was replaced by Amy Perry.
Sponberg released her solo debut, Resurrection, that same year on Curb Records; the single "Crazy In Love" crossed over to the secular Adult Contemporary charts while songs like "Safe" continued to earn her airplay on Christian radio.
2) Selah is also a solo British independent artist. In the National "Voice of '99" talent show, Selah was one of the youngest entrants at age 11 and beat competitors to reach 2nd place. She has two LPs, 'Growing Pains, Vol.1', and there is also a Vol. 2. Her label is Base N Rebulz Entertainment/River Sity Alliance Inc.
3) There is a third Selah - also a Christian artist - whose original name is Lisa Watkins, and was born in Washington D.C. She has produced the CD single entitled 'Spritually Speaking'. She has a website at www.pauseandthink.com.
Last.fm clearly need to create separate profiles for each of the above different artists. However under current policy this won't happen - see FAQ:
"It is currently not possible to disambiguate artists with the same name, which means that if an artist shares their name with at least one other artist, they will have to share one Last.fm artist profile.
Please note that any other valid artist with the same name has the equal right to appear on such a shared profile, including their music, their pictures, their artist description and any other information on them.
It is for instance not allowed to remove their description from the wiki, and it is also not possible to have an official primary image for one artist, while there are other pictures for the other artist(s) which all users can vote for and thus decide which one of the artists should get the "main" image."
