Aleksandr "Sammy" Babitzin (11th July 1948, Helsinki – 29th April 1973, Jyväskylä) was a Finnish musician and member of famous Babitzin family, which immigrated from Russia during war. Sammy debuted in early 1960s in a band called The Steelers. In 1972 Sammy won "Syksyn sävel" competition with song Daa-da daa-da, which was composed by Kari Kuuva. He didn't have time to release any albums before his premature death in a car accident on Suojoki bridge in Hietama, Äänekoski. Read more on Last.fm....
