Soon after ,the three of them left Bill McCrea to form "The Commonwealth" along with Mike Bugara (Guitar) , Johnny Sineri (Drums) and George Nutial (Keyboards). Mike Bugara and Johnny Sineri went to college and joined with Bill McCrea in the band " Jimmy and the Soulblazers" also known as "Change" and "Clockwork". While in the Air Force , Rick played with " The Count IV " and performed as a single act. Throughout the years since , he has written many songs and sung in New York , Los Angeles , and Las Vegas.
Rick comes from a musical family. His brother Paul Cassidy was a founding member of "Morly Grey". Paul was a drummer , guitarist , and composer and his songs have been selling for over 35 years. His brother Tim Cassidy was a singer/dancer on Broadway and was in the original cast of "Chorus Line" and the Broadway casts of " Dream Girls" and "Good News". Tim also starred at Radio City Music Hall , Miss America Pageant , and The Merv Griffin Show.
