1) Quixote was a post-hardcore band from Kalamazoo, MI. Formed somewhere in 1996, the band featured Joel Wick of Jihad (bass), Tony Uminn (guitar) and Paul Wartella (drums). At some point Mike Gard stepped in to fill Paul's place behind the drum set. Quixote had released most of the records on Joel's own Makoto Recordings. Their discography consists of a 7" entitled 'A Force', a self-titled CD, a split with The Trans Megetti and the 'Protests Of The Weak' 12", plus they recorded for a couple compilations. The band broke up in 2000, Mike joined Keleton DMD, Joel played in Sealucky (errr, not sure if it's actually post-Quixote, confirmation needed).
2) Current Massachusetts rock and roll band Quixote was born in 2007 out of a college recording project between members Evan Murphy (drums) and Joe Stulpin (vocals/guitar). The band brought in friends Gregory Tellier (guitar) and Anthony Valera (bass) and recorded their first record in 2008. Before the record was released Greg left to pursue other musical endeavors and Anthony began playing guitar, the band bringing in Justin Demers to play bass. They independently released their first self-titled record in 2009 and briefly toured the northeastern US to support it in that summer. In early 2010, Anthony resigned and the band brought in original guitarist Greg in time for the band to play a sold out Paradise Rock Club in Boston, MA*. They are currently writing their new record.

"As dark and gritty as Cave, beautiful as Buckley and as innovative as Radiohead in terms of changing the landscape of British music" BBC DVD review
"Quixote are a genuinely exciting prospect - enchanting and haunting vocals, music that delves into a long forgotten beauty riddled with violent outbursts, and songwriting that ambles between alternative rock and the avant garde. This young band are already headlining emerging stages at festivals and . A breath of fresh air in the smoggy streets of British music. " Tom Smith, Gobshout magazine
