1983 Schulz, Josef Piek, the guitarist of “Neue Heimat”, and the percussionist Dieter Hoff as Purple Schulz published the title song “Sehnsucht”, that ended up being the biggest success for the band and for which they received the “Goldene Europa”. Spring 1985 this song also did well in the hit parade in other German-speaking countries.
Numerous TV entrances and tours followed. After releasing three further singles, that all made it into the Top 20 Media Control Charts, Dieter Hoff left the band in 1987. Since then Schulz and Piek are on tour either with the band or as a duo. Read more on Last.fm.
