A year after that Petar decides to give a solo performance on 'Dora' with a song titled "Otkada nije mi tu" (Since she is not there). The song won 8th place. On another music festival 'Zadar Fest' in 1996 Petar's solo performance with a song "Trebam nekoga" (I need somebody) wins the best arrangement and an honorary award as a best song based on the public vote. Petar taped a video for a song titled "Trebam nekoga" (I need somebody) in arrangement with Vinko Brešan. 'Dora' 1997 was a close call since Petar won the 2nd place with a song titled "Idi" (Go). On “Melodije Hrvatskog Jadrana" in Split 1997 Petar sang a song titled "Ne boli me" (It doesn't hurt). Danijela sang "Neka mi ne svane" (May it not dawn upon me) one of Petar's songs on 'Dora' in 1998 and won the 1st place. Danijela went on to Eurosong with that song to represent the country of Croatia.
