Kristian Jabs, also known as Pessimist, aged 20 is a Drum & Bass Producer/DJ from Bristol. He has been producing since the age of 15 and has recently become one of the scenes most prolific newcomers of the underground. A distinct style and not conforming to predictable trends has earned Pessimist a respectful reputation in Drum & Bass.
With his tunes being played by legends of the genre such as Loxy, D-Bridge, Ed Rush & even son of John Peel, Tom Ravenscroft, Tracks signed to Critical, Ingredients & Renegade Hardware this producer has come a long way at such a young age. Recently included in Kmag’s ‘10 Drum & Bass producers to watch for in 2012’ the future looks bright for Pessimist.
2. Pessimist (USA) formed in Baltimore, Maryland in 1993 and are recognizable for their unique brand of technical black / death metal with old-school thrash influences. The original lineup of the band included founding members Kelly McLauchlin (guitars), Rob Kline (vocals), and brothers Chris and Tony Pernia (drums and bass, respectively). Their self-released debut Cult Of The Initiated was released in 1997 on Lost Disciple Records. Followed in 1999 by their 2nd CD, Blood For the Gods. Rob Kline and Tony Pernia left the band in 1999 while Chris Pernia would follow in 2000, leaving Kelly McLauchlin to assemble a new lineup. Members during this time included Bill Hayden (guitars), John Grden (drums) and Ralph Runyan (bass, vocals). This lineup recorded the band's 3rd CD, Slaughtering the Faithful with producer Erik Rutan (guitarist of Morbid Angel and Hate Eternal . As of 2008 original members Rob Kline and Chris Pernia have rejoined the band, with Kelly Conlon (of Monstrosity and formerly of Death) joining on bass. The band's latest CD Evolution Unto Evil was released in 2008 on Deathgasm Recs/Pathos Prod.
3. Pessimist (GER) formed in Weil am Rhein, Baden-Württemberg in 2006. They are unsigned and released a demo entitled "Nuclear Holocaust" in 2007. Their line-up is as follows:

4. Pessimist (CZE) formed in the Czech Republic in Tehovec, to date they have two full-length releases; "Ignorace" (1998) and "Ke Hvězdám" (2003).
