1. Pagan Babies were a short-lived dream pop band formed in 1985 by Courtney Love and Kat Bjelland. Love and Bjelland had previously been in the San Francisco-based project Sugar Babydoll with L7 bassist Jennifer Finch, however, relocating back to Portland in late 1985, they formed the Pagan Babies with Janis Tanaka and Deirdre Schletter. Although short-lived and non-productive, the band played two small shows at friend's houses and recorded a demo. Featuring "Cold Shoulders", "Bernadine", "Best Sunday Dress" and "Quiet Room", the demo circulated online in 2005. Both "Best Sunday Dress" and "Quiet Room" were reworked by Love and Bjelland's later projects Hole and Babes in Toyland, respectively. Love left the group in order to pursue other musicial interests and the band continued under the name Pagan Babies, only to change their name to the Italian Whorenuns in 1986.

2. Pagan Babies were a hardcore punk band from Philadelphia, PA formed in 1986. The band released one LP, "Next" and one 7" single, "Immaculate Conception" before breaking up in 1989. The single was released on Positive Force Reords in 1987 and the LP was released on Hawker Records in 1988. The band were also featured on the Discpan Hands and Wear and Tear compilations in 1987.

All of the band’s official releases were re-mixed and re-mastered in 2010 and released for the 1st time on cd as Last, which also includes several previously unreleased tracks, alternate versions, live cuts and early rehearsal tapes.

The “LAST” anthology set also includes a DVD containing the documentary film, “Stories of Old,” which tells the tale of the band’s members, its history and all things “Philly” through never-before-seen video from the band’s personal archives, as well as new footage and accounts from its members and fans. Plus, over 70 minutes of live concert footage including the entire July 14, 2007 Pagan Babies reunion concert set from the “Legends of Philly Hardcore” show.
