Nourith (whose real name is Nourith Sibony) is an Israeli singer born on August 29, 1971 in Beer-Sheva, Israel. Raised in a musical family, she took her first steps on stage when she was no older than six years. At the age of twelve, during a visit to France, she recorded a debut album for children.
Her college and high school years are punctuated by various stage performances, in several formations. She performed singing in the military training of five girls and five boys and gave 400 concerts in two years. In the 90's, she settled permanently in France and performed Francofolies La Rochelle after being spotted by Catherine Lara. She then joined the school of Alice Dona and took courses in drama at Theatre National de Chaillot.
The models produced with guitarist Jean-Pierre Taieb (Maurane, Patricia Kaas, Khadja Nin ...) eventually attracted a record label and Kôl yishama has been released in 1999. Mainly in Hebrew, suffused with spirituality and fragrance mystery. It was then that Maurane took the first part at the Olympia and, shortly after, she got the role of Sephora in the musical Les Dix Commandements by Pascal Obispo and Elie Chouraqui.
In 2002, she released her second album, eponymous and sentimental. Many famous writers and composers such as Jean Fauque Boris Bergman(former accomplice of Alain Bashung), Lionel Florence and Daniel Lavoie have put their impact in creation of the album.
Nourith also participated in the soundtrack of the Fifth Element and in many charity concerts.
