Neşet Ertaş (b. 1938-25 September 2012) was a singer of Turkish traditional music (Türk Halk Müziği Sanatçısı), lyric writer, and a virtuoso of the traditional Turkish instrument bağlama. Ertaş was born in Kırtıllar, a village in Kırşehir; his father, Muharrem Ertaş, was a halk şairi (literally "folk poet"), and Neşet followed him into that profession.
