Neet oét Lottum, an catchy band with dialect music that now days already exists for 10 years. Started in Venlo, raised in Limburg, sight aimed on the whole country. It all started when sing and songwriter Frans Pollux (lead singer) and his soccer mate Michel Wijlaars both were a year of 18. In that time there was a very popular band at his peak in province Limburg(The Netherlands) named Rowwen Hèze, they were an example for many young musicians in North-Limburg. Pollux and Wijlaars agreed immediately when they were asked to form a one time Rowwen Hèze-coverband. On stage the two couldn’t neglect to play some own songs. This was a good choice, because of the success that they had achieved that evening, the occasion-band were booked for a festival in a hall with tree thousand people. The regional breakthrough was a fact.
In the years that followed the band changes his composition. With the change of the band-members, the sound changed with them. The original party music was exchanged for a more adult pop sound, the lyrics can be measured with the good Nederpop songs. Although in dialect. (The province Limburg has a characteristic dialect, in other parts in the Netherlands they don’t speak this dialect and can hardly make sense of it. It’s a mixture of own words, Dutch, German and some words from Dutch(Belgium).) After 10 years of Neet oét Lottum, the Limburgs-language stays the key for them.
The single: Hald mich ens vas of the album: Krak, was played on every rural radio stations, Paradeplaat on Radio 2, and in the highest regions of the Top 2000. Besides this stongs is exclaimed to Best Song of Limburg ever. (in spite of some heavy competiton; Rowwen Hèze, De Heidenroosjes, Mo Jones, Boris Treble, Pussycat)
