Meri Cetinic, Croatian singer, songwriter, producer. She started in pop groups: Che, Delfini and More. In 1981. and 1982. she won the award as the best female singer of the year in ex-Yu. The album "Prašina sa puta" was the album of the year 1983. In that time the arranger, multi-instrumentalist and producer for her albums was her brother Ante Cetinic. In 1983. she won the "Gold bird" award from her Record company Jugoton for selling more than 1.000.000 copies. As a singer, Meri also recorded songs of the famous Croatian composer Zdenko Runjic and made several great hits (Cet'ri stađuna, U prolazu, Lastavica....)
Beside her own, she performed the songs of some great lyricists such as Jaksa Fiamengo, Tomislav Zuppa, Ivica Flesch, Drago Britvic, Krste Juras, Juroslav Buric... Her two duets with singers Tomislav Ivcic and Tedi Spalato both made a great succes with songs "Gorka rijeka" and "Konoba".
After the war in Croatia until today, she recorded another 4 studio albums, several ''Best Of'' editions, while in 2002. her live album " Malo mora na mom dlanu" won the ''Porin'' award for the best pop album in Croatia.
Meri's discography includes many styles, from pop, rock, dance, traditional Dalmatian music to jazz and blues. She is also a member of Croatian Composers Society.
Trivia: As a composer-songwriter she achieved international success (1990) when Erik Van Neygen & Sanne recorded a remake of her song ''Dome moj''.
