when maike rosa vogel found out that music is the one and very thing that makes her really happy, she collected songs from the moment on she was able to write them down. having a collection of hundreds of them (mostly labour movement songs and children songs for labour movement kids as well es anti war songs), she always sang them in the car when she and her family went on holidays. she sang there for hours feeling happy for no good reason until her brother gave her money so she'd shut the fuck up. other people were more supportive but there's always been a huge fraction of people who accused her of making them depressive or simply said she couldn't sing. against all this she founded her first punk band with fourteen (bandmaid carla later founded the punk band 'playrude' which became a legend in the frankfurt area), fooled around with electronic music for a while until she started doing what she's calling now 'electrofolk' (she'd love to call it 'electrofolkpunk' but she's too afraid of the punk police). until now she made many people cry with her music as well as she saved some lives and she finally found the most adorable band in the world to help her on stage and also some great musicians who play their instruments wonderfully on her recordings.
