Formed during the 80's malay rock or "Rock Kapak" boom, Lefthanded was one of the more successful alumnus of the Battle of The Bands era. Released their 1st album Keadilan in 1987 with a string of hits such as "Tiada Lagi Kidungmu", "Debung Wangi", "Ku kehilangan Cinta Tiga Dimensi" etc. Their 2nd release "Kabul", followed a year later. More of the same formula as the 1st effort but with a more "religious" lyrical undertone. 2 more releases followed after but as the big hair rock era in the West...

Band members went on to become actors, session musicians etc.
Lately there's been a resurgence with younger listeners going back to the 80s for "new" music and bands like Search, Lefthanded, Bumi Putra Rockers, Wings etc achieving a second wave of success and gaining new fans daily.
