From the start of the eighties, Lars Lilholt went solo. Kræn Bysteds stopped in 1982 after ten years. His first album »Og fanden dukked' op og sagde ja« (..And the devil popped up and said yes). Lars Lilholt Band started out with a few changes, but since the start of the nineties it has had a solid center. The band has an emmence popularity as a live-band, where they always give long concerts. The popularity has had its downsides tghough. As popular the band is, the more animosity it has accelerated from people who find the music extremely old school. Lars Lilholt have the ability to write very catchy tunes with very speciel instrumental settings. »Kald det kærlighed« (Call it love) is a massive hit for him, that is still played quite often in danish radio. Until recently, Lars Lilholt had two family-members ind the band; his sister Tine Lilholt and brother Kristian Lilholt. But they are not in the current line-uop, which consists of: Lars Lilholt, Gert Vincent, Tom Bilde, Klaus Trane, H.C. Nielsen and Eskild Dohn. In 1992, Lars Lilholt put the band on hold for a year, and made a record with two other singer-songwriters, Allan Olsen and Johnny Madsen. They nemaed the project: Dalton. Lars Lilholt Band have released 20 records – of which 5 are live- or compilation-albums. They have been called »The most hardworking Band in Denmark«, and with concerts all through every summer, the nick has some right.
