Kryzys was a Polish punk rock band founded in 1978 by guitarist and singer, Robert Brylewski. Other band members throughout the years of Kryzys's activity: Maciej Góralski (drums, lyrics), Irek Wereński (bass, after Kryzys's broke-up he played in Brygada Kryzys and Kult), Piotr Mrowiński (guitar), Marek Iwańczuk (bass), Kamil Stoor (drums), Tom Świtalski (sax). Kryzys has never released any official longplay in Poland and its songs were known only from live recordings recorded by fans during concerts and very few studio recordings. In 1981 an unauthorised by Kryzys's members longplay was released in France. Their official Polish release is a tape "'78-'81" from 1994. Kryzys broke up in 1981 because of many line-up changes. On the ashes of Kryzys new band was built, Brygada Kryzys with Brylewski on guitar. Kryzys, in fact, one of first Polish punk bands, is considered one of the pioneers of this genre in Poland.
