In 1994 moved to New York where she married music producer Tuta Aquino. Started a very successful solo career gaining the recognition of the local media while performing at important venues like Lincoln Center..s Demeroch Park, SOB..s, Town Hall and many others. The New York Times, Daily News and Time Out New York always gave Juliana very positive write-ups and attention. In 1998 Juliana was invited by Brazil..s legend Gilberto Gil to be part of his band to perform in Bahia..s carnaval on top of his own ..Trio EletrĂ´nico... She shared the moving stage with brazilian icons such as Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, Gal Costa, Djavan, Lulu Santos, Elba Ramalho and Daniela Mercury. Juliana moved back to Brazil in the year 2000 where besides lending her versatile voice to jingles for the local advertisement industry, has performed at important corporate and private events.
