John created the orchestral score for every version of Les Misérables from the original Robert Hossein production in 1980 through the RSC Broadway, tour and concert versions. He won the New York Drama Desk Award for Les Mis in 1986 and the National Broadway Theatre Award in 2002. John's orchestrations are featured in the current hit version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other shows he has arranged/supervised include Honk!
