Another Jerry Jackson is a Flash animator affiliated with David Firth of fat-pie.com. Jerry, who is likely no more than fourteen years old, has completed nine Flash cartoons to date. Each cartoon centres on his life, some experience he's encountered or his views on global issues such as war and racism. The characters and backgrounds are crudely drawn and the stories or messages contained within each Flash are often convoluted, filled with misspelled words ("gud pupul" for "good pupil") and Internet slang (lolzords, lollylops, wtf, ur weird m8), and are occasionally highly disturbing, making it fairly obvious that Jerry Jackson himself is fictional and likely an alter-ego of Firth or one of his animator friends. This is further evidenced by Jerry's site being hosted by fat-pie.com and the Salad Fingers tribute Flash that Jerry made. The cartoons are likely a parody of the amateurish Flash one is likely to encounter when surfing sites such as newgrounds.com, and pokes fun at children who overestimate their talent or the impact their creative work has on the world.
In addition to poking fun at the crudely drawn Flash animations that abound on the internet, the Jerry Jackson cartoons may be subtly criticizing programs such as Nick News on Nickelodeon which try to provide younger viewers with insight about adult-oriented issues such as war, drugs and race. Feeding politically correct beliefs to children who have not developed a cognitive understanding of society's problems is often ineffective. Such children will succeed at rote memorization of ideas such as "drugs are bad" and "racism is wrong" but the concept of drugs and their mind-altering effects as well as the history and meaning of racism will be lost on them.
Jerry Jackson's cartoons illustrate this idea, as Jerry precedes his thoughts on global wars by stating "this cartoon is rated universal - suitable for all - it is especially suitable for the children which will they learn something from it maybes". He then proceeds to give an explanation of wars which is utterly flawed and entirely confusing, calling it a good thing at times, claiming the France once bombed England, and topping it off by asserting that all wars have been eradicated and the world is currently in "Union" – something few globally aware people would agree on. He has similar misconceptions about race, saying that we should all get along "like the black people...and chinkys". This further illustrates Jerry's ignorance as he's used a racial slur in his cartoon that is supposedly anti-racism. (However, some may feel that that was the whole point of the joke by preaching equallity, than turning around to shout racial slurs.)
One of Jerry's cartoons features George W Bush, who says that Russia is his "next target" because they are a "pain in the side." Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
