As for the influences of his early work, include bands like Sonic Youth or Smashing Pumpkins. According to an interview for Casa America, Manuel Cabezalí talks about how his transition from English to Spanish was influenced by Soda Stereo and in particular the figure of its leader, Gustavo Cerati.
