With over 5000 total independent album sales, 200 shows played and 8 tours across Canada, Hartford can easily be considered an explosive force in today's music industry.
The Canadian quartet was thrust into an uphill climb after the release of 'Room 207', selling 4,700 units since June 2010. Recorded with Rob Freeman in January 2010 (Hit The Lights, Cobra Starship), Hartford showed no signs of slowing down since the debut EP's creation. Honing in on their sound, Hartford returned to New Jersey in September 2011 to record 3 songs with producer Ace Enders (The Early November) as a means to showcase their readiness for another step up and growth as musicians. Soon to follow the release of a single, Hartford has plans to record a full length with Ace Enders, to be mixed by Luc Tellier (Simple Plan, The New Cities). Non-stop determination has led JP, Carl, Simon and Pat to independently release a video for the EP's single, "It's Not Too Late, It's Never Too Late", racking in 2000 views in 48 hours, and has them set to embark on an east coast tour of the US in November 2011. Since their inception in 2008 and touring Canada coast to coast, Hartford is no stranger to the stage, tightening their live performance night in and night out. “(…) I was blown away with the energy coming from the stage. These guys have the entire package: great image, fantastic musicianship, catchy songs and amazing vocals” (Dale Penner – Nickelback, Jonas).
Hartford is far from being done and refuses to stop. To the four Canadian boys from Ottawa, it's never been about saying what if, it's about putting everything into 30 minutes of set time, about building something great and learning that there is more to life than a 9 to 5 job.
