Haikara's first album, Haikara, came out in 1972, and it has since became a classic progressive rock album.
Later on Vesa Lattunen, Haikara's heart and soul made several albums; Gaefar (1974), Iso Lintu (1976), Haikara IV: Domino (1998) and Tuhkamaa (2001) with various people playing the instruments, mainly Jan Schaper playing the sax and Tommi Mäkinen on the bass.
Lattunen wrote, composed and sang all the songs except on the debut Haikara, on which Vesa "Wellu" Lehtinen wrote the songs and also was the lead singer.
Haikara came to an end on March 2005 when Vesa Lattunen died in his home. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
