BIOGRAPHY
Originally from a small countryside village of Valenciennes, France, 27 years old Regis Israel, aka GreenShape, with his soft voice and ghostly folk pop songs speak of lost love and troubled family history.
One could almost feel like driving a Cadillac in a film by Wim Wenders and hear "Pound After Pound", and sometimes the sound of the sixties folk haunting.
Since 2003 GreenShape has traveled through the scenes of the north in various projects, but the folk guitar he found from the closet of his grandmother, and the stepfather’s Simon & Garfunkel vinyls always returned to his memory. He worships Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake and the Beatles.
Freshly signed to the label Sober & Gentle (Hey Hey My My, Cocoon, Kid Bombardos), GreenShape, as following a career of an amateur boxer delivers compositions that painlessly breaks your heart. It will bring all our most poignant memories to the surface with a desire to reapply again.
Recording the debut album with Mark Daumail, singer-songwriter of Cocoon, will promise us an experience of rare intensity. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
