It’s the synergy created between more melancholic tracks like ‘In The Woods’, ‘Divine Act Of Lunacy’ and ‘Cult Of Decay’ and the harsher compositions such as ‘Clawmaster’, ‘Traces Of Liberty’ and ‘Torn’ which gives this album its defining edge. ‘Breakwater’ and ‘Soulcarvers’ are two other shining examples of the band’s songwriting prowess. Those two songs are the culmination of the various elements that make the typical Ghost Brigade sound.
The production of “Until Fear No Longer Defines Us” is simply top-notch. It’s clear, yet warm enough to really capture and enhance the typical Finnish sense of melancholy.
“Until Fear No Longer Defines Us” is a very worthy successor to its illustrious predecessor. The combination of the progressive, post-rock and melancholic doom metal elements is more refined than ever and it’s captured in some first class songs. This album is the perfect Autumn soundtrack.
