The group was originally meant to act as a replacement for The Pussycat Dolls, but this plan was changed in February 2013 and the group debuted as G.R.L. The five piece group released an eponymous EP G.R.L with hit single Ugly Heart and was also featured on Pitbull's single Wild Wild Love. On September 6, 2014, it was announced that Simone Battle had passed away, leaving the group as a quartet. They split in June 2015 after releasing tribute single Lighthouse, and reformed one year later in June 2016 with new member Jazzy Mejia. Read more on Last.fm.
