A true power trio (Aki Morimoto - Guitar & Vocals; Kazuto Maekawa - Bass; Tomoharu 'Gian' Ito - Drums) from the time before rock became fractured into a diverse multitude of sub-genres and we were all still one big happy Rock & Roll family.
EES formed in Tokyo in 1998, they first toured the United States in 1999 and came to Europe in early 2003 - they have been touring the world ever since.
In Jan 2010 they launched a campaign on Pledge music to celebrate a decade of touring the world. The pledge is to fund and release both a Soundtrack album and the bands first ever live album and DVD: http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/224
Electric Eel Shock are pioneers of Fan Funding previously, in 2008, they've managed to group enough fans through the website SellaBand in order to raise $50,000 to record and release for an album which they titled SUGOI INDEED.
They helped fund previous release TRANSWORLD ULTRA ROCK by selling guestlist to life for £100 to 100 fans who became known as the Samurai 100.
